Bless LoadholtChatham Orthopaedic Associates is celebrating the great achievements of a past intern and current part-time employee, Bless Loadholt, who graduated from the Savannah Arts Academy with eleven different honors last week.

Loadholt began her internship with Chatham Orthopaedic Associates in summer 2016 through the City of Savannah’s inaugural “Summer 500” program. The goal of this initiative is to connect 500 local high school students from private and public schools with 500 paid internships at businesses across the community every summer. Through Loadholt’s Summer 500 internship with Chatham Orthopaedics, she was trained to work at the front desk, with tasks including scheduling, checking patients in and out, answering calls, and other special projects.

“We were so pleased when we got Bless on board through the Summer 500 program,” said Chatham Orthopaedic Associates CEO, Sharon Bromley. “We quickly found out what a smart, thoughtful young lady she was.”

Bromley, along with many other staff members at Chatham Orthopaedics, were extremely pleased with Loadholt’s work ethic and communication with patients. “We were so impressed with her that we asked her to continue working with us part-time, as her schedule allowed, after she completed her internship.”

Loadholt accepted the position and has been successfully working part-time at Chatham Orthopaedic Associates since her internship was completed last summer, and will continue through this summer before she heads off to college.

“What I enjoy most about working at Chatham Orthopaedics is the fact that I am given the opportunity to work with diverse people every day,” said Loadholt. “Each day is a new opportunity and I enjoy every moment.”
