Due to the SARS CoV2/COVID 19 pandemic, many office visits and surgical procedures across the country have been rescheduled. This is in an attempt to help contain and mitigate the severe public health threat that this virus poses. We encourage all patients to follow CDC guidelines for social distancing and remain vigilant with hand washing and surface sanitizing at home.
In spite of this, we at Chatham Orthopaedics are still committed to providing you with the best possible care for your musculoskeletal needs. We are exploring technology for virtual visits and are still available to you by phone and through the patient portal (if you have not signed up already, please do so now in order to get updates). We are also tracking all cancelled procedures and have secured commitments from our hospital partners that those surgeries that were delayed will be accommodated in a timely fashion once the restrictions on elective surgeries are lifted.
Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have questions. We are here for you.
We will begin screening patients for COVID-19 at the doors of our Paulsen Street Office. Patients will be asked pertinent questions and may have their temperature checked. Please remember that visitors are limited. We ask that only minor patients and those requiring assistance with mobility bring a visitor. Patients will be asked to return to their vehicle after checkin until it is time for their visit.

We look forward to reopening as soon as possible. In the meantime, our Savannah and Rincon offices will still be open to serve your needs. Please call us at 912-355-6615 for assistance.
A message to our patients: your safety is our number one priority! After checking in for your appointment, please return to your vehicle until your designated appointment time, as we adhere to the social distancing guidelines recommended by the CDC.
Effective Monday, March 23rd and until further notice, our ExpressOrtho after-hours urgent care clinic will only be offered at our 4425 Paulsen Street office in Savannah. Hours of operation will be:

- Saturday – 10:00am – 5:00pm
- Sunday – 1:00pm – 5:00pm
Our goal at Chatham Orthopaedic Associates is to keep everyone as safe as possible during this time by minimizing the number of people coming into our clinics and surgery center. Unless a patient requires the assistance of another adult, we are asking that visitors please remain in your car. Thank you for your cooperation regarding this request.
We will be screening at our mobile check in, kiosks, and entrances with a list of basic questions to help ensure that individuals who may be ill, get appropriate care while not exposing other patients and staff. Please call us with your email information if we do not have it on file. This will expedite your check in experience.
In addition, we will be limiting visitors in order to minimize risk for patients and guests. We would ask that you reschedule your appointment visit if you:
- Have a fever
- Have a cough or shortness of breath and have traveled outside the US or areas affected by COVID-19 in the past 14 days
- Have had direct contact with someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19
If you cannot reschedule your appointment due to post-operative care, please notify us prior to arrival should you be experiencing any of the above symptoms, have been diagnosed with COVID-19 or you have traveled outside the US or areas affected by COVID-19.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
Chatham Orthopaedic Associates recognizes there is a great deal of concern and uncertainty surrounding Coronavirus. It is important you keep yourself updated using reputable information from organizations such as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC.gov), World Health Organization (WHO.int), and Johns Hopkins (jhsph.edu). In addition, as with any viral respiratory infection including the flu, containment is key. Simple infection control procedures such as good hand hygiene, coughing into the crook of your elbow or covering your mouth with a tissue, and staying home when sick help contain viral respiratory exposures.
We are concerned about our patients’ and employees’ health and safety. If you are exhibiting symptoms of the flu or bad cold such as fever and cough, please call and reschedule your appointment. We are happy to accommodate your requests. If you need to be seen and are not feeling well, please let us know prior to your arrival. We will have an appropriate face cover to prevent any infection spread. If you have any questions or concerns, please let us know.
