Dr. D’Mitri Sofianos, a spine surgeon with The Spine Institute at Chatham Orthopaedic Associates, has recently been recognized as one of the Top 10 Spine and Orthopaedic Surgeons to Know, according to Becker’s Spine Review. This list acknowledges spine and orthopaedic surgeons across the U.S. who have positively impacted their organizations and the spinal specialty.
Dr. Sofianos joined the Chatham Orthopaedic Associates team in 2014. Prior to joining Chatham Orthopaedic Associates, Dr. Sofianos attended medical school at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in Nashville. During his residency at the University of Utah Health Sciences Center Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and fellowship at the University of Southern California Comprehensive Spine Center, he received comprehensive training in all aspects of spine care. This training included a range of skills, from motion preservation correction surgery to the latest minimally invasive techniques and state-of-the-art instrumentation for both the cervical and lumbar spine. Additionally, he treats a wide range of muscular and skeletal trauma.
