
Matthew S. Griffith, MD
Dr. Griffith is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon specializing in spine surgery, orthopaedic
trauma, and general orthopaedics, with a focus on cervical spine disorders. A Pennsylvania
native, he earned his biology degree from Penn State and his medical degree from Drexel
University, graduating Alpha Omega Alpha. He went on to serve in the U.S. Army, completing
his residency at Eisenhower Army Medical Center in Augusta, GA, where he was named
Outstanding Resident. He later served at Fort Stewart as Medical Director of Surgery and Chief
of Orthopaedics and Podiatry, and deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom: Spartan
Shield. Following his service, he completed a spine fellowship at the Hughston Clinic.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Griffith enjoys time with his wife, Cara, and their two dogs, along with
skiing, golf, weightlifting, and baking sourdough bread.
