Mark A. Jenkins, D.O.
Mark A. Jenkins, D.O., a native of Savannah, joined Chatham Orthopaedic Associates in 2001, and became board-certified in orthopaedic surgery in 2003. Dr. Jenkins takes orthopaedic trauma calls on a regular schedule and was the former Director of Orthopaedic Trauma at Memorial Health University Hospital. He also holds active staff privileges at Memorial, Saint Joseph’s and Candler hospitals. Dr. Jenkins is an Associate Clinical Professor of Surgery at Mercer School of Medicine and is actively involved in teaching Mercer’s medical students and residents.
Dr. Jenkins has published several articles in peer reviewed orthopædic journals and has presented scientific posters and papers at the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery’s yearly meeting. He also has lectured at several national orthopaedic conferences.

Dr Jenkins is a fantastic surgeon. I have been a patient of his for 13 years. He is attentive and very professional. He is also my husband’s ortho Dr. His manner is easy, patient and friendly. My husband suffered an injury when we were out of state. I contacted Dr Jenkins for his advice as my husband needed surgery to repair the injury. One note I have is about their Paulsen St. main location, it is incredibly busy. Primary reason for visit, was to get 2nd opinion on right knee. I had previously been told I needed a knee replacement by another doctor. Dr. Jenkins X-rayed & examined my knee thoroughly. His diagnoses were quite different than the diagnoses I received from the other group. I explained to him about the exercises I was doing, and he advised me on what to do and not to do. This was first visit to this facility I am a cancer patient of more than seven years and have had multiple surgeries on my leg and have just moved to town from Atlanta and I feel that Emory is the best but I saw Dr. Jenkins today and he put all my fears at ease he took time with me and explained what he felt was wrong with my leg and was very nice had great bedside manner and then together we decided it would be best for an injection the staff was very nice and very accommodating I will be was returning to this facility I would recommend them to anyone I was a fantastic first experience thank you to the staff at Chatham orthopedicsrater8 Verified Patient

My wait was short, the Dr. was personable and to the point. I never felt rushed, he answered all my questions and explained everything with easy to understand answers. Both Dr. Mark Jenkins and Andrew Grosse are fantastic. They spend more time with you than most doctors and really listen to you. They spend the time to explain everything clearly. Dr. Jenkins and his PA Drew are absolutely the best orthopedic doctor and PA in Savannah. I was in a terrible crash on February ninth 2015 and they did multiple surgeries on me. I truly believe if not those two gentlemen I don’t think I’d be able to walk. If you or anyone you love needs any kind of orthopedic care these two are definitely at the top of their game. Dr. Jenkins and his PA, Andrew Grosse were wonderful. I was so happy to finally have a doctor that actually listened to me, understand the problems I am having and come up with a real plan to help me. Most doctors want to dismiss you when you are overweight, just to tell you go lose weight and you'll feel better. Dr. Peine performed a Mohs surgery on one of my close family members. I was present during the entire procedure. I was extremely impressed with and grateful for Dr. Peine's meticulous surgical skill and caring treatment.
